To train an AI chatbot on your website, let it crawl your sitemap and key pages (FAQ, shipping, returns, pricing, policies, product pages), exclude anything private or outdated, test it on 20 real customer questions, fix wrong answers as rules, and re-sync whenever the site changes.
How it works under the hood
The chatbot splits your pages into short passages and stores them in a searchable index. When a customer asks something, it finds the most relevant passages and writes an answer from them, ideally citing the page. This is called retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). The quality of answers depends mostly on the quality of your pages.
